Apps like Glympse for real-time location sharing

Here’s my take on this.

I can see both sides of the argument when it comes to choosing a location-sharing app. On one hand, you have the built-in options like Google Maps and Apple’s Find My. Their biggest advantage is convenience—they’re already on most phones, so there’s no need for extra downloads. They are straightforward and great for simple, temporary location sharing without too many bells and whistles. Accuracy is generally quite solid since they leverage the phone’s native GPS.

On the other hand, dedicated apps like Life360 or GeoZilla offer a much richer feature set. These often include location history, customizable place alerts (like getting a notification when someone arrives at work), and sometimes even driver safety reports. They’re built for more consistent, long-term monitoring and coordination. It really boils down to your specific needs.
