Here’s my take on this.
I can see why there’s confusion, as it involves two different approaches. Directly within the WhatsApp application itself, you can only see a person’s location if they choose to share it with you. This is a built-in privacy feature, and there isn’t a native way to bypass it. The “Live Location” feature is entirely voluntary and user-activated.
On the other hand, monitoring applications work on a different principle. They don’t hack into WhatsApp to get the location. Instead, they track the phone’s overall GPS data at the device level. So, you would be seeing the phone’s location, not a location pulled specifically from WhatsApp. It’s a broader solution that operates independently of any single app’s features.
