It’s definitely possible your boss’s email with the deadline can be retrieved, even if it’s been emptied from the trash! Outlook often keeps deleted emails on the server for a period of time.
Here’s how you can try to recover it:
- Check the “Recoverable Items” folder: In Outlook, go to your email folder list, and look for “Deleted Items” or “Trash.” At the top, there might be an option like “Recover items recently removed from this folder.” Click it, and Outlook will show you a list of emails that can still be recovered from the server.
- Contact your IT department: If you can’t find the email in the “Recoverable Items” folder, reach out to your IT department ASAP. They have access to server-side backups and might be able to restore the email from a recent backup.
