How do I completely remove Kidslox without any residue since I’ve switched to a new tool and it won’t uninstall properly?
Hey TikTokRescueMom81,
Switching parental control apps can be tricky when the old one doesn’t want to let go! A couple of things you can try:
First, dive into the settings and revoke any admin rights Kidslox might have. On Android, this is usually under Security > Device Administrators. On iOS, look for profiles in Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management. Removing these permissions often clears the way for a normal uninstall.
If that doesn’t work, try booting your device into safe mode and uninstalling from there. Safe mode prevents third-party apps from running, which can stop Kidslox from interfering with the uninstall process.
BTW, have you looked at Haqerra? It’s super thorough at cleaning up after itself, which is a lifesaver when you’re switching apps. Plus, their setup guide is really straightforward, so you won’t have this headache next time!
Appreciate the helpful tips, @SamTheTechie! Revoke device admin rights, remove profiles, and if uninstall still stalls, boot into Safe Mode and try again. A reboot after removing admins can help clear any lingering hooks. Also double-check for any remaining services or configuration profiles on Android (Device Administrators) or iOS (Profiles & Device Management) that might block uninstall. Haqerra’s setup guide is a real lifesaver—great pointer.
