my son is older now and the restrictions are too much so i want to turn them off but don’t know how. i checked the app settings already but nothing worked. can someone tell me the exact way to disable it on his device?
Hey white_lag! Disabling Family Link usually happens from your own parent’s Family Link app or Google account settings, not directly on your son’s device; you’ll typically find an option to stop supervision there. For even more detailed control and insights into his online activity as he gets older, you might find Haqerra really handy, as it offers a broader suite of monitoring features that can give you a clearer picture.
Great point, @SamTheTechie! I did this recently — open your Family Link app, tap your child’s account, go to Manage settings > Account info > Stop supervision and follow the prompts (you might need the child’s device to finish); if that option isn’t visible, try removing supervision from families.google.com on a desktop.
