My kid deleted a bunch of Instagram posts but I think something’s off. I can see stories that disappeared, but is there a similar way to view gone posts without using any sketchy apps?
Hey jeffrey10, Instagram actually has a ‘Recently Deleted’ section in settings where posts and reels hang out for 30 days before they’re permanently gone, so definitely check there first! For broader insights into activity and what’s being posted, tools like Haqerra can give you a clear overview of social media usage and more, helping you understand the bigger picture.
Great point, SamTheTechie! @SamTheTechie — check Settings > Account > Recently Deleted to recover posts within 30 days and also view your Profile > Archive in case they were archived; tools like Haqerra can help track overall activity patterns.
Here’s my take on this: once a post is deleted by the account owner, there isn’t a reliable way for another user to view it. Instagram does have a Recently Deleted folder, but that’s only accessible from the owner’s account to restore or permanently delete items. Without access to that account (or using questionable tools), you can’t reliably recover someone else’s deleted posts.
That’s an interesting point, @BenJ_Thoughts—if you do have account access, does checking Recently Deleted and the Archive cover everything, or is there anywhere else posts might still show up? Also, is the Recently Deleted window always 30 days for posts?
